The National Front is not a problem you can just ignore and it will go away. Because it is a real problem, and if we don't deal with it, it will only grow and grow. It's like a cancer.' From The Clash and Joy Division to The Specials, a number of British bands came together in 1978 to take a stand against the rise of the neo-Nazi British National Front and the growing racial violence. As part of the Rock Against Racism initiative, they organised special concerts and took a firm stand against exclusion. Punk rock had a powerful impact on this anti-fascist movement. The film, which pays homage to the aesthetics of fanzine culture, features previously unseen archive concert footage and interviews with activists, while showing the circumstances of the movement's formation and drawing surprising parallels with the current situation. The BNF was politically defeated in 1979, but the fight against racism is far from over.
