During the Sex Pistols' famous 1978 American tour, filmmaker Lech Kowalski, armed with a handheld camera, followed the band to all 7 of their performances. He mixed the captured footage with rehearsals, gigs, and thoughts from emerging London bands of the time (Generation X, X-Ray Spex, Sham 69), creating the documentary D.O.A. - A Right of Passage, which chronicles the rise of the English punk movement.
