Danny Says is a documentary about the life and work of Danny Fields. Since 1966, Danny Fields has played a key role in the music and 'culture' of the late 20th century, working for The Doors, Cream, Lou Reed, Nico, and Judy Collins, and managing groundbreaking artists like The Stooges, MC5, and The Ramones. Danny Says follows Fields' journey from a Phi Beta Kappa whiz kid and Harvard Law dropout to his time at Andy Warhol's Silver Factory, his position as head of publicity at Elektra Records, and his role as a 'punk pioneer' and beyond. Danny's taste and opinions, once considered rebellious and radical, ultimately proved to be visionary. Danny Says is the story of how the marginal becomes mainstream and the avant-garde becomes prophetic, all while Fields is already searching for the next generation.
